Mechanical service work performed at Burnett Automotive includes all types of preventative maintenance, under car repairs, under hood repairs, wheel alignment, and hi-tech engine and computer diagnostics.

POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

General Service Technician

  • No certification required.
  • Perform oil change service, tire installation and repair, wheel balancing, and other basic under car maintenance.

General Maintenance Technician

  • No certification required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on transmissions, cooling systems, and brakes, exhaust, and other non-technical problems.
  • Experience with basic diagnostic tools required.

Automotive Service Technician I: Brake & Suspension Specialist

  • All requirements for GS and GM Service Tech.
  • ASE certification in Electrical, Brakes, Steering, Suspension, and Wheel Alignment.
  • Perform brake repair, anti-lock brake repair, diagnose and repair, CV axles, and ridedisturbance problems.

Automotive Service Technician I: Engine, Heating & A/C Specialist

  • All requirements for GS and GM Service Tech.
  • ASE certification in Electrical, Engine Repair, Heating, A/C, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle.
  • Perform diagnostic and repair service on, heating and A/C systems, cooling systems, replace timing belts, CV joints, and rack and pinions.

Automotive Service Technician II: Alignment & Suspension Specialist

  • All requirements for GS, GM and Auto Tech I Brake and Suspension.
  • Diagnose and repair steering, suspension, and ride disturbance problems.
  • Perform advanced and aftermarket alignment procedures.

Automotive Service Technician IIM: Engine Performance Specialist

  • All requirements for GS, GM and Auto Tech I Engine, Heating, and A/C.
  • Diagnose and repair performance and driveability problems including OBDII systems, ignition, fuel, and emission systems, and electrical problems.

Lead Technician

  • All requirements through Auto Tech II Performance.
  • Perform or assist in training for other employees.
  • Assist service manager on problem vehicles.
  • Backup service manager duties and assist with general store operations when needed.

Service Manager

  • Must have an extensive knowledge of automotive systems, good interpersonal skills and care about quality, efficiency, and value.
  • Manage the flow of work through the service bays ensuring repairs are performed correctly and on time.
  • Assist with Assistant Manager and service writing duties as needed.

Retail Sales Associate

  • Must be a people person with excellent listening skills and a real desire to help people.
  • Must have and practice telephone, computer and organizational skills.
  • Duties include selling tires and other automotive products and services, maintaining showroom displays and appearance, and other duties associated with in house sales and marketing.
  • Assist in managing the work flow insuring quality and timely delivery of services.
